One of the longest piers in North America can be found in Redondo Beach. The pier, which is shaped like a horseshoe, is popular among tourists and fishermen. Along with its neighbors, Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, the beach, which includes two state parks, and the ocean are the predominant attractions to the area. The Strand, a paved path that runs north to Santa Monica, starts in Redondo Beach. Bars, restaurants and boutiques can be found in the Marina, Harbor and Pier complexes.
